Corgis

Breeding Moderate, Efficient, Maternal Cattle for all Cattlemen

Pembroke Welsh Corgis

Welsh Corgis are herding dogs.  We choose our dogs for their intelligence, temperament and "cowyness".  Doc and Trogdor are both very eager to work cattle and are learning quickly.

We start our working dogs out with simple tasks like backing bulls away from feed troughs and pushing cattle up a chute.  They are very handy for keeping pushy cattle out of the way when cutting strings on hay bales and away from feed buckets on the 4-Wheeler.  Since our cattle are gentle and come to us when called, we do not need a dog to gather them but more so for getting them to go where we want them once in the corrals.

Corgis make great family pets because they are very people oriented and like to please.  They are rather "one person" dogs taking directions from "their person" better than from anyone else as a result.  However, they consider the whole family to be theirs to "protect".

Since they are very attached to their family they want to go everywhere the family goes.  Ours will ride a tractor, four-wheeler or horse with us.  They follow along on hikes and horseback rides and every time we are outside for any reason they make every step we do.  People who have purchased dogs from us have used them as companions, working dogs, and in agility trials.

When allowed in the house they are generally very quiet and calm.  Ours each have their own favorite spot (usually next to their owner) where they are content to plop down and snooze.

Trogdor (the boys named her)
We do not have a kennel.  Our dogs are working stockdogs and we raise one or two litters a year.  Right now Trogdor is our only breedng female and Doc is our stud dog.

If you are interested in a puppy send me an email and I will put your name on a list to contact.

Doc Holiday (male)
We do not have puppies at this time. When we get another litter their photos will be posted here.
