Diago is a coming four year old gelding. He is a son of Lean on Fritz, a world class reiner owned by Aitken Quarter Horses. His dam is a granddaughter of The Ole Man. Diago is 15.2 hands and still has a lot of filling out to do. He is soft eyed and very personable.
Diago has just come home from a couple of months of training. When he was a long two-year-old we sent him to a trainer, one we had not used before. It was a disaster! He came home beat up, tender footed, scalded between the hind quarters, barely ridden and with a pulled stifle. By the time we got the cuts and scald healed we were all back to full time jobs &/or school and could not ride him. When spring rolled around and we started working with him again we realized the stifle hadn't healed yet. After a trip to an equine vet, he was put on four months stall rest. Our horses are pasture kept, we don't have stalls, so Diago spent four months in a 12x12 "stall" made of round pen panels.
After the stall rest he was rechecked by an equine vet and given the go ahead to restart training. Diago was sent to a proven trainer earlier this year. Her assessment of him is that he is very athletic but a bit lazy. He is great on trails and naturally wants to sit and slide when stopping. Diago picks up both leads but is not to a level of doing consistent changes yet.
Diago is a very "in your pocket" guy that loves attention. We will continue to ride him at home to help him regain fitness and continue to progress in his training. In fact, we just took him on a group ride and he did great. He had no problems with creeks, standing water, fallen logs or rough terrain.
He is for sale because our daughter wants to purchase a finished reiner and still needs to raise a good bit of cash. We have more horses than we can ride now and Dad said no more horses until we sell some of what we have already!
If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I hope to have video of him soon.
We are asking $2500 for him, obo.

| Misty is an eighteen year old foundation bred quarter horse mare. She was a brood mare for about a dozen years before we started her under saddle, at the age of fifteen. She is solid on the trails, very level headed and has a no-nonsense attitude. Misty is not what I would call a "finished" horse since she does not do lead changes, roll backs, etc. She is solid in the basics and is excellent on trails. We have taken her on overnight rides and she has no problem staying on a tie line. She caries saddle bags, horn bags and doubles kids also. We recently took her on a group trail ride and she doubled a ten and twelve year old all afternoon.
Misty seldom gets ridden and is rather fat and out of shape because of it. She is an easy keeper, staying fat on just pasture, and she raises big colts (Diago is a son and we have one more who is about 16 hands). We have more horses than we can ride and the husband is having a fit for us to reduce our numbers so we can run more cattle.
If you have questions please email me and I will get back with you as soon as possible.
We are asking $500 for Misty and she must go to an approved home.
